The Salisbury Barrack is kicking off a food drive throughout the month of July to help support families in our local community.

Donations can be dropped off to the Duty Officer who is located inside the front lobby area. We ask that donations consist of any nonperishable food items you'd like to contribute. At the end of the month, all donations will be delivered to a local food bank or shelter.

The summer months are especially difficult for many families, as children often lose access to school meal programs while school is out. If you're able to help, please consider donating. Every item—no matter how small—can make a meaningful difference.

Please join us at the Salisbury Barrack in this effort. Together we can demonstrate the power of teamwork as we support our neighbors.

Thank you for your generosity and continued support for the community we all call home!

Voting is now open for the 2027 American Association of State Troopers Best-Looking Cruiser Contest. Our submission this year celebrates America’s 250th while also honoring the places that make Maryland unique.

Meet Rocco and Ben! These Clydesdales are part of a team that carries on the time-honored tradition of bringing the official White House Christmas Tree to Washington, D.C. each year.

A special thank you to the team at Suttler Post Farm Clydesdale's in St. Mary’s County for allowing us to capture this photo on their farm. Congratulations to .dellamae on Instagram for correctly guessing the location — please message us so we can send your prize!

Last year, earned a first-ever feature in the calendar and secured the 4th-place spot. This year, we’re aiming to take it home.

A child’s body heats up 3-5 times faster than an adult’s. That means a parked car can become deadly in minutes – even on mild days. Every second counts when a child is left in a car. If you see a child alone in a vehicle, act immediately.

This Memorial Day Weekend, Maryland State Police will be busy patrolling our roadways to help keep traffic moving safely, but safety doesn’t just begin and end with law enforcement. It’s a shared responsibility with every motorist, year-round.

We urge Marylanders, and those who travel through our state, to prioritize safety and to always plan ahead. Avoid dangerous situations like speeding or aggressive driving.

Choose to drive sober or choose a sober driver. Use a rideshare service. It’s that easy.

You will see state troopers working visible enforcement up and down the U.S. 50 corridor as motorists cross the bridge heading to and from the Eastern Shore, as well as statewide. Let’s work together to ensure a safe weekend for all.
