Reminder: Next week is the last week of the 2025-2026 school year for Wicomico County Public Schools. Here is the schedule, which is the same as the one posted for elementary schools/Pittsville School but without elementary letter days. High schools will provide any details on each day's class schedule if needed.

Class of 2026 (and those who supported them): All of your photos from Wicomico County Public Schools of the May 28th commencement ceremony are coming, and some are already posted in the gallery. The next monthly meeting of the Wicomico County Board of Education is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, 2026, in the Board of Education Auditorium at 101 Long Ave., Salisbury.

For this Board meeting, the Board will convene at 1 p.m. and immediately vote to go into closed session. The open portion of the meeting will begin at about 1:30 p.m. The agenda for this meeting is available at https://wicomico-schools.community.highbond.com/Portal/

To register for public comments, please visit the pre-registration page (https://board_public_comments.wicomicoschools.org/), which is open from June 2 - 8. Anyone unable to pre-register online may visit the school system office at 2424 Northgate Drive during business hours to fill out a paper copy of the pre-registration form.

Wi-Hi Recognized as Maryland School of Excellence by the ACAC!

Wicomico High School and its school counselors have been named the 2025 School of Excellence award winner for the state of Maryland from the American College Application Campaign. Wi-Hi is recognized for its "Maryland Post-secondary Success Campaign", in which a school does an outstanding job in increasing the number of graduating high school seniors with plans to pursue a post-secondary pathway- whether college, career, or military. In addition,

Wi-Hi also is recognized for increasing the number of first-generation college students. Only one high school in each state is chosen, and we are extremely proud that Wi-Hi has been chosen this year! Congratulations to College Counselor Kory Lowe, school counselors Deb Breeding, Donyelle Cottingham, Kim Hudson, Dorsey Cook, student advisor Scott Taylor, office associate Lashaunda Clark and Wi-Hi Principal Dr. Nikki Blake!

Thanks to the American College Application Campaign and Maryland State Department of Education for recognizing our outstanding school counselors that are truly making a difference in the lives of Wi-Hi students!
