Our West Salisbury Staff spent the day learning, reflecting, and growing together! 🌿🐯 With guidance from Mr. Deal, we "unpacked our bags" πŸŽ’ and explored ways to overcome obstacles while supporting both our students and one another. Our staff also received self-care swag bags as a reminder to prioritize their well-being as we begin the new school year. 🧑🌱

πŸ₯― A special thank you to Bagel Bakery Cafe for the delicious bagels, cream cheese, and butter provided for our staff this morning. We are grateful for your generosity and support of our West Salisbury Tigers Staff! 🐯🧑

Thank you to our faith based partners who contributed items for the staff drag bags (Wesley Temple, St.Paul, and Restoration).

🌱 Growing Greatness Together 🌱

Our West Salisbury Staff were excited to begin another day of professional learning with a visit from Superintendent Dr. Stauffer! His encouragement helped set the tone as staff continued growing their practice, collaborating with colleagues, while we continue to prepare for a great year ahead. 🌱🌿

When our educators grow, our students bloom.

A huge thank you to Lighthouse of Hope Worship Center for your contribution towards our new t-shirts. It is greatly appreciated.

What do HOLD, SECURE, LOCKDOWN, EVACUATE, and SHELTER mean in schools?

Beginning this school year, Wicomico County Public Schools will use the nationally recognized Standard Response Protocol (SRP), to provide clear instructions for students, staff and families during emergencies.

What You Should Know:
- Standard Response Protocol uses clear language for emergency situations
- SRP helps improve communication among schools, families, students, staff and first responders
- Students and staff will practice and learn the five response actions during the school year

Parents are encouraged to learn more about Standard Response Protocol by visiting https://www.wicomicoschools.org/o/wcps/page/safe-schools
