Wicomico Somerset Community Crisis Intervention Team - CIT CIT is designed to train first responders to help people in a behavioral health crisis.

What do first responders learn at 40hr CIT Training?

*How to Recognize and interact effectively with people with substance abuse, behavioral health, and/or developmental disabilities;

*Basic medication awareness;

*Basic Understanding of the Americans with Disability ACT;

*Verbal de-escalation skills and other less lethal alternatives of force;

*Face-to-face interaction with consumers and family members

*Excited Delirium responses

*Public Safety Mental Health First Aid.
