I was once told being Mayor is a "thankless job". It meant the work is expected and a thank you may or may not be given; however, some of the citizens of Salley often proved them wrong. These past 5 years have had many ups and even more downs, but to whom much is given, much is required!! Heavy is the head that wears the crown. As the Town of Salley's first African-American, Female Mayor, I withstood many tests, many trials, but I continued to serve with dignity and grace. Many lessons were learned, and I will be forever grateful for the opportunity to have served the citizens of the Town of Salley, SC - Home of the Chitlin' Strut.

Outdoors Craft Fair - Saturday, March 22 9AM to 2PM - All vendors are responsible for their own tables and tents. Music will not be allowed to be played by any vendor. Spots will be assigned to vendors on a first come first serve basis. All fees are non-refundable- no exceptions. Your spot is not reserved until payment is made in full. The Salley Town Hall will be closed today in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. day!
The Salley Town Council will NOT meet this week. The regular council meeting has been rescheduled for next Monday, January 27, 2025.
