Cherokee National Holiday is one of the most meaningful celebration...

Today I had the pleasure of stopping by the 74th Cherokee National Holiday Youth Livestock Show and chatting with Chief of Staff Dr. Corey Bunch, Deputy Secretary of State Canaan Duncan and District 8 Councilor Codey Poindexter! This show was a great example of the hard work done by young Cherokees to raise and showcase the animals they own, but also an example of how much fun young people can have when they are in their own element! The belt buckles awarded to the winners of todayโ€™s competition were also designed by a local Cherokee artist! All in all, today was a great example of what Cherokees do best: supporting each other and uplifting one another! Wado to everyone who came out to support these young people while gearing up for Cherokee National Holiday!
