MOUSE premieres in Salt Lake City today.

A new film written and directed by Utah-based filmmaker Kenny Riches follows Denny, a lonely first-generation American who begins a correspondence with the woman of his dreams when two competing fantasies collide in an unexpectedly human story about loneliness, class, and the desperate need to belong. Filmed on location in Salt Lake City and starring Sarah Coffey and Kimball Farley.

Today, on Robert Redford's birthday, we celebrate his lasting legacy in Utah’s film history 🎥

In 1969, Robert Redford starred alongside Paul Newman in BUTCH CASSIDY AND THE SUNDANCE KID that filmed in southeastern Utah. Recognizing the unique landscapes and opportunities for filmmakers in Utah, Redford filmed "Jeremiah Johnson" and "The Electric Horseman" in the 1970s and later launched the Sundance Institute and Sundance Film Festival in the state.

Visit the markers honoring "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" at Snow Canyon State Park and Zion National Park. Explore more at utahfilmtrail.com.
