🚁 Training with a view!

Our hoist team recently had an incredible opportunity to train at the beautiful Sundance Mountain Resort, working together to sharpen the skills, communication, and coordination needed for complex rescue operations.
A huge thank you to Sundance Mountain Resort, Utah County Search & Rescue, and our hoist team for partnering to make this important training possible.
Strong partnerships and realistic training help our teams stay ready when every second matters. 💪🚁🏔️

Caregiver Spotlight: Jaime Konopka, Billing & Coding Specialist

For the past 3½ years, Jaime has been an important part of the Intermountain Flight & Ambulance Services Revenue Cycle team, helping ensure every patient story is coded with accuracy, care and attention to detail.

What Jaime loves most about her role is the detective work behind medical billing and coding, carefully reviewing charts to make sure everything is done correctly while supporting the incredible work happening across our teams.

“I know the nurses and pilots do the hard job, but I’m very thankful to be a part of it as well. This is an amazing job and I’m thankful I get to have a little part in it.”

Jaime says what makes her team special is the trust and respect they share with one another. Their collaboration and willingness to help each other creates a strong, supportive environment every day.

Outside of work, Jaime enjoys spending time with her husband and two grown kids, along with baking, woodworking, home improvement projects and crafts.

The advice that continues to guide her?
“Kill ’em with kindness.” 💙

Thank you, Jaime, for the care, positivity and dedication you bring to our team and mission every day.

This Fourth of July, we’re reminded that service takes many forms. 🇺🇸

While many gather with family and friends to celebrate Independence Day, our Flight & Ambulance Services teams continue answering the call, caring for patients, supporting communities, and standing ready 24/7.

As our nation marks 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence, we’re especially grateful for the opportunity to serve others through the freedoms we share. Every safe flight, every transport, and every operational decision reflects that commitment.

To every caregiver, pilot, mechanic, communication specialist, EMT, paramedic, and support team member: thank you for your professionalism, dedication, and commitment to bringing one another home safely after every shift.

Wishing you and your families a safe and meaningful Independence Day.

Caregiver Spotlight: Marvin Procter, Flight Nurse

Marvin has been part of the Intermountain family since 1996 and joined Life Flight in 2001. Over the years, he's learned one lesson that always holds true: "Expect the unexpected—always!"

One thing Marvin takes pride in is being a strong partner to his teammates, whether he's leading patient care or providing support behind the scenes.
When he's not caring for patients, you'll find him in his workshop creating projects out of wood.

Fun fact: Before becoming a flight nurse, Marvin spent 20 years as a farrier and is certified as a Journeyman Farrier by the American Farriers Association.
His grounding philosophy is simple: "I know I do not know everything."
Thank you, Marvin, for more than two decades of dedication, teamwork, and service to our patients and communities.

☀️ Longer days, warmer weather, and more time outdoors — summer is officially here!

As we celebrate the Summer Solstice and kick off a season of adventure, remember to make safety part of your plans. Whether you're hiking, boating, biking, traveling, or spending time by the pool, a few simple precautions can help keep summer fun and safe:

💧 Stay hydrated
🦺 Wear your life jacket
🧴 Wear sunscreen
🚴 Use helmets and safety gear
🔥 Practice fire safety outdoors
🌡️ Watch for signs of heat exhaustion
📱 Let someone know your plans before heading into remote areas

From all of us at Intermountain Flight & Ambulance Services, we hope you have a safe, healthy, and memorable summer season!

✈️ Caregiver Spotlight: Sarah Anderson, Flight Nurse

Sarah has been part of the Intermountain team for eight years and recently stepped into her new role as a flight nurse, serving bases from St. George to Logan.

One of her favorite parts of the job is working alongside healthcare professionals, emergency responders, law enforcement, and rescue teams—all united by the same goal: helping patients.

"What makes our team special is how passionate everyone is about what they do. They inspire me to be a better human being, not just a better flight nurse."

When she's off duty, you'll likely find Sarah skiing, playing pickleball or tennis, spending time with loved ones, or enjoying a pool day. Working in critical care has taught her to appreciate good health and quality time with the people who matter most.
🌎 Fun fact: Sarah has visited all seven continents!

Inspiring the next generation of healthcare professionals!

Recently, Intermountain Flight & Ambulance Services welcomed approximately 80 junior high and high school students from Weber County for an unforgettable day of career exploration. Students had the opportunity to connect one-on-one with our caregivers and learn about careers in emergency medicine, aviation, and healthcare.

Experiences like these help students see what's possible, ask questions, and gain firsthand insight into careers dedicated to serving others. We're proud to help inspire future caregivers and create opportunities for
