Inspiring the next generation of healthcare professionals!

Recently, Intermountain Flight & Ambulance Services welcomed approximately 80 junior high and high school students from Weber County for an unforgettable day of career exploration. Students had the opportunity to connect one-on-one with our caregivers and learn about careers in emergency medicine, aviation, and healthcare.

Experiences like these help students see what's possible, ask questions, and gain firsthand insight into careers dedicated to serving others. We're proud to help inspire future caregivers and create opportunities for

🚁 Caregiver Spotlight: Micah, Flight Paramedic
For the past three years, Micah has served as a flight paramedic in Provo, Roosevelt, and Cedar City.

What he loves most about the job is working alongside a diverse group of professionals, from firefighters and EMTs to operating room staff and search and rescue teams, all dedicated to serving their communities.

"I work with the best pilots, paramedics, nurses, dispatchers, and mechanics in the business. We have a great team because it's made up of great people."

After a difficult shift, Micah focuses on life's simple blessings: petting the dog, hugging his wife, and remembering how fortunate he is. We're so grateful for Micah and all he does for our patients.

💍 Fun fact: Micah has officiated three weddings.

News from Sheriff Wiggins:

On May 15, 2026, Grand County Dispatch received a 911 call from a mother in need after her two children went missing from their camp in the remote Book Cliffs area of northern Grand County.

Due to the remote location being two hours away from the Sheriff’s Office by vehicle, Deputy Lacy requested assistance from our partners at Intermountain Flight & Ambulance Services. Their flight crew quickly accepted the mission and responded with Deputy Lacy on board.

A short time later, the helicopter crew successfully located the missing children and safely reunited them with their family.

We are extremely grateful for the teamwork, quick response, and most importantly, the happy outcome in this incident.

We are deeply saddened by the tragic accident involving the Trans Aero MedEvac crew in New Mexico this morning. Although they were not part of the Intermountain team, losses like this are felt across the entire air medical and first responder community.

Our thoughts and prayers are with these heroes, their families, loved ones, friends, and the entire Trans Aero team as they face this unimaginable loss.

Really exciting day for our ground teams!

Our logistics team coordinated an equipment review with two gurney vendors and eight EMTs and paramedics representing multiple states and departments. The group spent time in the classroom learning and hands-on demos with the different systems.
The teams will develop a recommendation for leadership based on criteria they established together.

A big thank-you to our caregivers for their engagement and collaboration, and to our vendor partners for traveling to support these demos. 💪
