We join with families across Utah and the nation in mourning the passing of Alan Osmond, who died at the age of 76.
As the eldest of The Osmonds, Alan helped shape not only a legendary musical career, but a legacy rooted in faith, family, and service. Born in Ogden, he carried Utah values onto the world stage, leading his brothers with humility, talent, and purpose.
Alan was also a proud conservative who believed deeply in God, family, and country. He was passionate about passing those values on to the next generation, using his platform not just to entertain, but to uplift and inspire.
His impact was also felt right here at home. Alan served on the board of the Freedom Festival in Provo and was the founder of the beloved Stadium of Fire, a celebration of faith, freedom, and patriotism that has inspired generations of Utah families.
Beyond music, Alan’s life was defined by giving back. He played a key role in founding the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, which has raised billions to support children in need, and established the One Heart Foundation to care for orphans around the world. Even after stepping away from performing due to his battle with Multiple Sclerosis, he continued to serve and uplift others.
Alan passed surrounded by his beloved wife and eight sons, a testament to the strong family foundation he built and cherished throughout his life.
We honor a life well lived, a legacy of leadership, and a man who never stopped putting others first. Our prayers are with the Osmond family during this time.
