Registration for Desert Hawk XIX is now open at: https://utwg.cap.gov/events/desert-hawk-summer-encampment

This year’s Utah Wing Summer Encampment will be held from June 11th to June 18th, 2022. The cost is $250 for Student Cadets, $200 for Cadet Cadre, and $125 for Senior (Adult) Cadre. This cost covers food, housing, and materials. We hope to see many of you at this amazing growing experience!

Lt. Col James Stewart has been selected to be the Encampment Commander for Desert Hawk 2022. Please join us in welcoming him to the encampment command and supporting him in his goals for Desert Hawk 2022.

Encampment will be from 9-18 June for staff and 11-18 June for students. At this time we are taking applications for Senior Staff. Col Stewart would like each interested individual to list the three positions they would like to work at encampment and why they are interested in them, you can send these directly to Col Stewart ([email protected])

Wendover Weekend of Service Friday August 20 to Sunday August 22, 2021: Cadets and Senior Members, we are holding a joint weekend of service with Nevada Wing at the Wendover Encampment Compound. We will be painting, repairing plumbing, and general cleaning. We could use your expertise and volunteer service. Even if you can come for just part of the time we would love to have you. Cadets, we will bring games and fun for down time. Packing list and permission slip will follow shortly. Meeting at the Wing building at 1700 on that Friday for rides to Wendover, dismissing Sunday August 22 at 1030 hours- arriving at the Wing building by 1200. We could use Senior Member and or parent drivers. The cost is $20 for food for the weekend. We wills stay on cots in the C-huts. The uniform will be civilian clothing that can get paint or dirt on it, sturdy shoes, hat.

Participate in this year's NCO Academy at Hill Air Force Base! Through this event, cadets will return to their squadrons with the knowledge needed to be a successful NCO and Leader in the Civil Air Patrol cadet program. The event is from Friday, October 25th (18:00) to Sunday, the 27th (12:00). Cadets must be from the ranks C/SrAmn - C/CMSgt in order to attend and are required to turn in all forms (signed) in order to participate. Required Forms for participation: CAPF 31, CAPF 32, and CAPF 160. Early Bird Tickets are now available for $25.00; after October 12th, the price will be $30.00.

The Wing is also in need of instructors for this academy who can teach leadership, NCO roles, communication, how to lead drill, and more, as well as support staff to help aid activities and classes.
