Utah Public Art Program - Utah Arts & Museums

Utah Public Art Program - Utah Arts & Museums The Public Art Program was created by the Utah State Legislature in 1985.

The Utah Public Art Program commissions artists to create art for Utah state facilities that are used by the public. The artists' work responds to the surrounding community, the constituents served by the State agency, and the architecture of the facility.

The UA&M Public Art team was delighted to observe the installation of Jann Haworth’s Utah Women mural at Salt Lake Community College South Campus last week! This piece includes over 200 stencil portraits, each created by community members under the direction of Jann Haworth, Liberty Blake, and their project team. The featured portraits range from some of the most high-profile women in Utah history to community members whose impact might be less known but nevertheless remarkable.

Utah Women is on display now, and we encourage you to go check it out!
