Just in time for our BIG Venture Out community night this Friday, a Granite School District grounds crew has unearthed a time capsule that was placed between 2007-2010. Principal Amber Clayton was first made aware of the time capsule by former Millcreek Elementary principal, Tina West, now a director at Granite School District.

We are hoping the community will help us connect with the students who helped placed this time capsule by sharing this post. If you are a former student involved with this event, please contact Principal Clayton at [email protected].

The Time Capsule will be on display during the Millcreek Elementary Open House on Friday, June 9, from 6:00-8:00 pm. Come walk through the halls of Millcreek Elementary one last time. This is just one of the great events at our grand finale, Venture Out!

Summer Learning Calendars

Are you looking for a way to continue to engage your children in learning this summer? Look no further. Granite School District’s math, literacy, and science specialists put together summer learning calendars.

To log in, your children will go to the Granite student portal. Once on the portal, they will click on “Summer Learning” on the left side of the screen.

All grades k-5 have an individual calendar for June, July, and August. In these calendars, you will see links to daily learning activities in reading & math and weekly science activities. They have also included weekly field trips for a fun adventure! These are, of course, just suggestions but a systematic way to help your children at home throughout the summer.

One final picture of our Millcreek staff…It has been an honor to serve our students, families, and the Millcreek community. We thank you for all your love and support. We are grateful for our time together at Millcreek, and we wish one another and our Millcreek family the very best in the year ahead as we start the adventure of taking our Mustang MindSET to new schools. Much love to all!

The flag over Millcreek Elementary came down for the last time today. It was an emotional end as we reflected on our 2022-2023 school year and said our final goodbyes to our beloved school.

Thank you to the Taylorsville High ROTC Color Guard for this poignant moment. They will be retiring our Millcreek flag for us during their summer camp.
