UPDATE ON EARLIER POST.
Mullins has been taken into custody by deputies in Chilhowie.

The Saltville Police Department is currently looking for a male subject in connection with a pursuit that occurred last night starting in the town of Salville and ending in the area of Valley Road after the subject ran on foot.

Male subject will be a Caleb Mullins. He is described as a white male in his early to mid twenties. If seen, call 911. If you have any further information on this subject, please contact the Saltville Police Department or the Smyth County Sheriff’s Office.

On 2/6/24 Saltville Police Department and Chilhowie Police Department assisted the U.S. Marshal Service on serving multiple felony warrants on a Brian Barrett. Barrett was located in the area of Buckeye Street, contact was made and Barrett fled, resulting in a manhunt. The manhunt lasted several hours. Barrett was located hiding under a shed at 216 Cedar Branch Rd. Barrett was taken into custody without incident. Assisting agencies involved Smyth County Sheriff's Office, Chilhowie Police Department, and Virginia State Police

Saltville Police Department is investigating a theft of a Harley Davidson motorcycle that stolen from a residence in the Town of Saltville. The motorcycle was stolen between the hours of 10PM and 4:45AM. Motorcycle has a Virginia registration 325-29W. Any information on the motorcycle please contact the Smyth County Sheriffs Office at 276-783-7204
