We’re grateful for the incredible partnership between Saluda County Schools and SCDNR that made today’s Fishing Rodeo a huge success!

Students had the opportunity to spend the day outdoors, learning, laughing and enjoying the excitement of fishing. From first catches to big smiles, it was a day full of memorable experiences and hands-on learning.

Thank you to SCDNR, Saluda County Sheriff’s Department, Saluda EMS and community volunteers for supporting our students and helping create opportunities that connect them with nature and new skills.

What an incredible day for our 9th Annual Special Olympics this past Friday!

We are beyond grateful for the amazing support from our schools, dedicated teachers, generous community members and most importantly, our inspiring athletes. Because of you, this event was filled with joy, encouragement and unforgettable moments.

Special Olympics is about so much more than competition. It brings people together, builds confidence and celebrates the abilities and achievements of every athlete. Special Olympics truly creates a sense of unity and belonging in our community, and we saw that on full display this year.

Thank you for showing up, cheering loud and making this event so special. We are already looking forward to next year!

Saluda County Schools is a proud recipient of the South Carolina Innovation Grant. Part of this grant allowed Saluda County Schools to select two leaders to attend the John Maxwell Leadership training in Dallas, Texas.

Jessica Wash and April Ergle earned their Maxwell Leadership Certification. During this impactful week of professional learning, they had the opportunity to learn alongside Saluda County’s own Molly Spearman, further strengthening their leadership skills to better serve our students, staff, and community.
