Today we have TWO contestants joining us, and apparently neither one remembered to bring identification.

Our mystery duo was found hanging out at 17 Auto Repair, near Farley Park, where they have been extremely friendly and seem perfectly content sitting together in the shade while the humans try to sort this whole thing out.

• Extremely friendly
• Enjoys longs walks along Route 17

• Gray/ brown fur and light eyes
• No collar
• Also extremely friendly
• Favorite past time- wandering

Unfortunately, the Middlesex County Animal Shelter is currently at maximum capacity, so we really need your help getting these contestants reunited with their family.

🐾 FOUND DOG 🐾

A male Beagle, approximately one year old, was found running with a black Labrador Retriever in the area of 9134 Tidewater Trail (Route 17).

The Beagle was safely located and has been transported to the animal shelter. The black Lab ran from the area and was not able to be located.

If you recognize either dog or have information that may help locate their owner, please contact us at 804-758-2779.

We are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Adam Samir Aburas, age 28, who has been reported as an endangered missing adult.

Adam was last seen at approximately 9:00 a.m. today. There are concerns for his welfare, and we are asking anyone who may have seen him or knows his current whereabouts to contact the Middlesex County Sheriff’s Office.

DESCRIPTION:
• Age: 28
• Height: 5’6”
• Hair: Brown
• Eyes: Blue
• Clothing: Possibly wearing a black T-shirt and green jacket

He's friendly but a little skittish, and it's unknown whether he's wearing a collar.

This sweet pup was found running in the Stormont Rd. / Turks Ferry Rd. area and is currently safe.

If you recognize this dog or know who the owner may be, please help us reunite them. If you have any information, contact the Middlesex County Sheriff's Office Non-Emergency Line at 804-758-2779.

The dog is being cared for at the animal shelter right now, but we want to make the community aware that the shelter is currently at maximum capacity and will not be able to house the dog long-term.

The roadway way has been cleared and all lanes of travel are now open.

Motorists please avoid the 900 block of Burchs Mill Road due to multiple trees down across the roadway.

🌳 The roadway is completely blocked and is impassable at this time.

Please use an alternate route and avoid the area while emergency crews work to clear the roadway.

⛈️ STORM RECOVERY INFORMATION ⛈️

Middlesex County experienced significant impacts from today's storm, including numerous downed trees, damaged homes, and hazardous road conditions.

Our deputies, firefighters, EMS personnel, VDOT crews, and our public safety partners are continuing to respond throughout the county. We appreciate everyone's patience as crews work to clear roadways and address emergencies.

If your home has been damaged or you need assistance, the following resources may be helpful:

🏠 American Red Cross– If your home is uninhabitable or you need emergency shelter or immediate assistance, call 1-800-RED-CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visit www.redcross.org

⚡ Power Outages – Report outages directly to Dominion Energy . Stay well away from any downed power lines and assume they are energized.

🌳 Downed Trees – If a tree is blocking a public roadway, report it to local authorities. If it is on private property, contact a licensed tree removal service when it is safe to do so.

📷 Document Damage – Take photographs of any damage before beginning cleanup and contact your insurance company as soon as possible to begin the claims process.

• Stay away from downed power lines.
• Use generators outdoors only and away from windows and doors.
• Be cautious of hanging limbs and unstable trees.
• Never drive through flooded or obstructed roadways.
