Today, Wednesday, April 29, 2026, marks National Fentanyl Awareness Day. This day is dedicated to remembering those we've lost and raising awareness about the extreme dangers of this illicit drug.

🕊️ We Remember Together

We invite you to honor the memory of your loved ones in the comments below. Please share the name of someone you've lost to this crisis. Your stories matter, and their names will not be forgotten.

⚠️ Facts About Fentanyl

Extreme Potency: Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid that is significantly more potent than he**in and morphine. Even a very small amount can lead to a fatal overdose.

Hidden Danger: Illicit fentanyl is often mixed into other substances or pressed into counterfeit pills that look identical to legitimate prescription medications. It is impossible to see, smell, or taste.

The Risk of Overdose: Because it is so concentrated, many people ingest it unknowingly, which has led to a sharp increase in overdose deaths nationwide.

If you or a loved one needs support or information regarding recovery, please reach out to New Vision Recovery Center at 606-743-2107. Support is available, and no one has to face this alone.

04/17/2026

HEALTH ALERT: Health officials and law enforcement agencies across the country are raising alarms about an emerging synthetic opioid that is believed to be up to 10 times stronger than fentanyl. Details below.
