Monitor your kids’ social media. Know what they are posting, sharing, and sending.
These “Cat in the Hat” posts are not a joke. They are taken extremely seriously by school officials and law enforcement. They cause fear, disrupt our schools, and take valuable time and resources to investigate.
Every threat will be taken seriously and investigated. If criminal charges are warranted, charges will be sought.
Please talk to your kids. One post, share, screenshot, or message can have very serious consequences.
It may be a trend online, but the consequences are real.
