Here recently we have received numerous calls and emails regarding the animal cruelty case that occurred on May 19, 2026 and the arrests that were made regarding the case on June 6, 2026.

Below is the press release regarding the case.

All subjects are presumed innocent till proven guilty in a court of law.

The City of Samson Water Department along with the contractors will be shutting the water off at 1 PM on Monday, June 29th to install new water mains which will take an extended period of time. Unfortunately, we can not determine the length of time for the outage. This is a 7-million dollar project of which the city has received grant money for the complete project. - Thank you for your patience as we enhance our water system.

🚔 Junior Police Academy🚔

As our Junior Police Academy comes to a close, we would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of the parents and guardians who allowed their children to participate in this program. Your support and trust made this experience possible, and we are truly grateful.

It has been an honor to be a part of this community and to spend time with such an outstanding group of young people. Throughout the academy, these children demonstrated enthusiasm, respect, teamwork, and a willingness to learn—qualities that will serve them well in the future.

We firmly believe that our youth are an investment in this community. By teaching them about responsibility, leadership, safety, and positive decision-making, we are helping to build a stronger future for everyone.

We hope each participant takes what they have learned during the Junior Police Academy and applies it to their everyday lives. Whether it’s showing respect to others, making good choices, helping those in need, or being a positive influence among their peers, the lessons learned here can make a lasting difference.

Thank you again for allowing us the opportunity to work with your children. We are proud of each and every one of them, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact they will have on our community in the years to come.

Weather Permitting on Monday, May 11th, starting at 2p.m. the City of Samson Water Department will be shutting off the water for an extended period of time. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, but this is necessary for the installation of the new water mains.

CHRISTMAS AT THE CABINS!!!!!

Santa and Mrs. Clause had to reschedule but they will make their appearance to greet the children in Samson on Monday December 15, 2025 at 6 P.M.

Make sure to come see them and enjoy s’mores and hot chocolate!!!
