CHP San Andreas Explorer Post 255 California Highway Patrol San Andreas area Explorer Program. The San Andreas CHP is looking for young men and women interested in a career in law enforcement.

CHP Explorers volunteer with their local CHP office and learn how to provide the highest level of safety, service and security to California by attending weekly training, participating in statewide competitions, volunteering at special events, and a variety of other ways. Are you planning to celebrate America’s independence with some light pyrotechnics? Why not get the fireworks you need AND support your local Explorer post? Post 255 is once again selling fireworks! Stop by our booth in the parking lot of Treat’s Market in San Andreas, pick up your fireworks, and feel good about supporting us! Funds raised help the post get needed training equipment, uniforms and help us get to competitions throughout California.

Congratulations to San Andreas Explorer sergeant Cole Younger, who graduated from the Level IV Explorer Academy today! Explorer Younger spent a week at the CHP Academy getting academic and tactical training which included range training, emergency vehicle operations and scenarios. The week culminated with an inspection by Assistant Commissioner Amanda Ray and Chief Mark Brunet. If you’re between the ages of 15 and 20, and are interested in a career with the CHP, contact the San Andreas Area CHP or your local CHP office for information about the Explorer program.

San Andreas Explorer sergeant Cole Younger is starting the week-long Explorer Level IV academy... This week-long, intense, paramilitary training is designed for Level III graduates who are preparing to apply for the position of Cadet, California Highway Patrol. After meeting the academy’s staff officers and checking in, the week starts with a PT test. After that, the week is spent giving Explorers a taste of academy life, complete with daily PT, classroom work, drill and other academic and tactical training... Good luck, Cole!

San Andreas Explorer Cadet Cole Younger began his weeklong Academy Level III training this morning... after meeting the staff officers, some in-processing paperwork and a uniform inspection, Younger passed the physical agility testing well above and beyond the minimum requirements. He will now spend the week at the CHP Academy in West Sacramento, and (should he be so fortunate) graduate and earn the right to wear the CHP Explorer star on his uniform. Good luck this week, Cole!

This morning, Explorer Cadet Johnny Somraty started his week at the Level III academy... it will be a long, hard week of training, but when he graduates on Saturday, he'll have earned the right to wear the CHP Explorer star on his uniform. Good luck this week, Johnny!
