It's summer ⛱️☀️ and you know what that means; an introduction to Teen Republic! Get ready for A BUNCH of words:

So, what is Teen Republic 🤔

Located in the Stephens Central Library Makerspace, Teen Republic is a department dedicated to teens! Patrons in Grades 6-12/ Ages 13-18 & their adults are invited to hang out in our Teen Republic Lounge & play video games, watch movies, attend teen-specific programs, and so much more!

Why Grades 6-12/Ages 13-18 🤷

Teen Republic historically has been advertised as being for patrons in grades 6-12. While all teens are welcome, only listing grades has caused some confusion. We've also noticed an increase of teens who are not in traditional grade levels, and we want to make sure no teen feels left out! So if you're in grades 6-12, come on down! If you're aged 13-18, come on down!

We're now located in the same room as STEAM Central. Be sure to click on their profile to see what they're about! Keep an eye out for any Teen Republic updates- with new neighbors comes new changes, and we want to be an awesome neighbor!

Summer adventures start at the library!

CVT is proud to partner with the Tom Green County Library for this year’s Summer Reading Program. To help young readers get where they need to go, all minors ages 17 and under ride FREE on CVT buses on Saturday, June 6!

Due to Rocketry Camp, STEAM Central & TGCL Teen Republic will be closed until 4:30 PM each day from today through the 4th. If you need a young adult book during this time, please visit the Children's Department front desk for assistance.

The spaces will reopen at 4:30 PM and remain open until their regular closing time.

Please note that this schedule is tentative and subject to change. We’ll keep you updated with any changes as they arise.
