🎉 That’s a wrap!

Yesterday, the Naval Medical Forces Development Command (NMFDC)—alongside our incredible echelon commands: Navy Medicine Training Support Command, Naval Medical Leader and Professional Development Command and Navy Medicine Operational Training Command - NMOTC—officially concluded our institutional re-accreditation visit by the Council on Occupational Education (COE).

Months of rigorous, command-wide preparation went into this crucial visit to ensure our Navy Medicine training programs and standards remain second to none. (If you missed how our teams geared up for this milestone, you can read about our preparation efforts below.) 📲⬇️

We don’t want to give it all away just yet, but here’s a quick teaser: we did exceptionally well! 👏

We will be sharing the full story and official results once we receive the formal notification letter from the COE this fall. Until then, a massive Bravo Zulu to everyone who made this evaluation a resounding success.

Stay tuned! ⚓️🩺

ICYMI: The NMFDC Operations, Plans & Readiness team supported the U.S. Navy’s first-ever Expeditionary Medical Unit (EMU) Operational Readiness Evaluation (ORE), and the first afloat ORE conducted for an EMU, aboard the expeditionary fast transport ship USNS Point Loma (T-EPF 15), marking two historic milestones for the Navy’s Expeditionary Medical (EXMED) platforms and afloat medical readiness. ⚓⚕

NMFDC coordinated the participation of fleet subject-matter experts from across Navy Medicine and the Defense Health Agency to evaluate functional areas including casualty reception, casualty movement, damage control surgery, critical care, command-and-control, and shipboard medical operations. This collaborative effort ensured the assessment reflected rigorous fleet standards and real-world operational requirements. 💊
