Last Friday, we gathered with residents, community leaders, partners, and friends to celebrate the grand opening of Country Club Village, a community of 270 affordable homes for adults 62 and older and individuals with disabilities in San Antonio.

The celebration marked an exciting new chapter for a community that has undergone a tremendous transformation, with renovated apartment homes, new construction and spaces designed to support connection and community.

We were honored to be joined by City of San Antonio Mayor Gina Ortiz Jones, Bexar County, Texas Judge Peter Sakai, the City's Neighborhood Housing and Services Department, PNC, San Antonio Housing Trust, and so many of the partners and neighbors who helped make this day possible.

Most importantly, we celebrated the people who make Country Club Village what it is: home.

🏠 This past Saturday, we were pleased to welcome the City of San Antonio - Municipal Government Neighborhood and Housing Services Department to Country Club Village for a community conversation about the voter-approved 2022 Affordable Housing Bond.

Community members gathered to learn more about the Bond’s impact, discuss future opportunities for affordable housing investment, and share their perspectives with the City.

Thank you to the Neighborhood and Housing Services team for trusting Prospera to host this important City-led event, and thank you to everyone who attended and participated. We look forward to continuing our collaboration—and welcoming the City back for the upcoming Country Club Village grand opening!

🏠 El sábado pasado, tuvimos el gusto de recibir al Departamento de Servicios de Vecindarios y Vivienda de la Ciudad de San Antonio en Country Club Village para una conversación comunitaria sobre el Bono de Vivienda Asequible de 2022, aprobado por los votantes.

Los miembros de la comunidad se reunieron para conocer más sobre el impacto del Bono, conversar sobre futuras oportunidades de inversión en vivienda asequible y compartir sus perspectivas con la Ciudad.

This year, our nation marks a historic milestone: 250 years since the adoption of the Declaration of Independence.

As we celebrate Independence Day, we reflect on the ideals of freedom, opportunity, and community, and the importance of continuing to build places where individuals and families can feel safe, supported, and at home.

Prospera Housing Community Services offices will be closed beginning at noon today, Thursday, July 2, and will remain closed on Friday, July 3, in observance of Independence Day.

We will resume regular business hours on Monday, July 6.
