I’m in Washington, D.C., attending a judicial symposium, where judges from across the country discuss ideas and best practices that strengthen our courts and the fair administration of justice.
While I’m here, I took the opportunity to visit Arlington National Cemetery and stop by the gravesite of my cousin, Kara Hultgreen. Kara was a U.S. Navy lieutenant and the first female carrier-based fighter pilot in the U.S. Navy. She was a true pioneer whose courage and dedication helped open doors for future generations of military aviators.
It was nice to visit her and reflect on her remarkable legacy. Weeks like this are a reminder of the importance of service whether to our country or to our communities.
