Sometimes what looks like indifference isn’t a lack of remorse, it may be a nervous system protecting itself. 💛

For children especially, vulnerability can feel unsafe when they’ve learned that showing guilt, sadness, or remorse may lead to shame, punishment, or rejection.

Accountability and repair are important, but so is creating a space where it feels safe to be vulnerable, make mistakes, and reconnect. 🌱
