Honoring — Wishing You a Safe and Proud 4th of July Weekend
From all of us at the Medical Readiness Battalion, JBSA, we wish you a meaningful and memorable Independence Day. As our nation celebrates 250 years of freedom, unity, and innovation, this milestone offers a powerful moment to reflect on our shared history, honor the sacrifices that safeguard our liberties, and look ahead to the bright future we continue building together.
As Service Members, families, and teams gather across the globe, keeping our communities safe, healthy, and mission‑ready remains our highest priority.
*Beat the Heat
Hydrate often: Drink plenty of water throughout the day. Limit sugary, caffeinated, and alcoholic drinks that increase dehydration.
-Know the signs: Watch for heavy sweating, dizziness, or nausea. Move to shade or air conditioning immediately if anyone feels ill.
-Protect pets & neighbors: Ensure animals have shade and fresh water. Check on young children and elderly relatives who are more vulnerable to extreme temperatures.
*Grill Safely
Choose the right spot: Keep grills at least 10 feet from homes, deck railings, and overhangs.
-Never leave it unattended: Fires can double in size in under a minute. Keep children and pets clear of the grill area.
-Clean regularly: Remove grease from trays and grates to prevent flare‑ups.
*Firework Safety
-Leave it to the pros: The safest way to enjoy fireworks is at a professional public display.
-Follow local laws: If personal fireworks are permitted, use them outdoors in a clear area away from buildings and dry vegetation.
-Soak the scraps: Keep water nearby and fully douse used or misfired fireworks before discarding to prevent fires.
Let’s continue looking out for one another and make this historic holiday weekend safe, healthy, and unforgettable.
Here’s to 250 years of American freedom and innovation.
Have a wonderful 4th of July!
One Team. One Purpose!
