📚✨ SAN BENITO SCHOOLS CELEBRATES INNOVATIVE LIBRARIAN ADRIANA TOVAR!

Congratulations to Adriana Tovar, Librarian at Riverside Middle School, on being recognized through the Innovative Librarian Recognition Program and featured in the Region One Education Service Center’s Library Services Newsletter!

With 17 years of experience as a high school English teacher and now in her third year as a librarian, Adriana brings a wealth of knowledge, creativity, and passion for literacy to her school community.

Through reading and writing clubs, student-created book videos, and student-led activities, Adriana empowers students to take ownership of their learning while cultivating a culture of readers. She also collaborates closely with teachers, supports classroom instruction, and provides professional development in literacy and writing, transforming the library into an extension of the classroom.

Her commitment to collaboration reaches families, too. From student-led activities during parent and literacy nights to celebrating the campus Battle of the Books team's district-level success, Adriana creates meaningful opportunities to connect the school community through literacy and learning.

We are proud to celebrate Adriana's dedication to helping students thrive and her commitment to making the library a welcoming place where curiosity grows, creativity flourishes, and every student can develop a lifelong love of reading! 💜💛

Some of the greatest accomplishments come from students who refuse to let their beginnings define their future. 💜💛

The Principal’s Watch Award is one of the toughest awards to earn at RMS because it recognizes something truly special: GROWTH.

These students may not have had the perfect start, but they have made a conscious decision along the way in their time at RMS to use their time wisely, work hard, and make meaningful improvements. Whether in academics, behavior, or the choices they make each day, these Bulldogs are showing us what it means to learn from mistakes, take responsibility, and keep moving forward.

Mr. Ramirez, our principal, is immensely proud of these students and the incredible work our RMS staff commits to every single day. Our mission extends far beyond academics. We are shaping young men and women socially, emotionally, and academically, helping them develop the character, discipline, and decision making skills they need to succeed in school and in life.

We understand that growth is not always a straight line, and success does not always happen overnight. What matters is the willingness to learn, the courage to improve, and the commitment to become better than you were yesterday.

Congratulations to our Principal’s Watch Award recipients! Your progress matters, your hard work is noticed, and your future is full of possibilities. Keep making those positive choices and showing everyone what a Bulldog can do!

We are not just preparing students to succeed in school. We are preparing them to WIN AT LIFE! 🐾🏆
