San Bernardino County Flood Control District is proud to join Orange County, Los Angeles County, Riverside County, FEMA, Cal OES, the California Department of Water Resources, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for the Seven Oaks Dam Flood Control and Coastal Emergencies (FCCE) Exercise.
 
Exercises like this bring local, state, and federal partners together to strengthen coordination, practice emergency response, and ensure we are prepared to work as one team when it matters most.

San Bernardino County Public Works is providing advance notice of a temporary road closure along Arrow Boulevard between Illex Avenue and Cottonwood Avenue in the Fontana area as part of Phase 1 of a multi-phase sewer installation project.

📅 August 17 – September 1, 2026
🕖 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday
No work on weekends or County-recognized holidays.

Crews will be installing a sewer mainline, manholes, and stub outs. The roadway will reopen at the end of each working day.

🔹 Closure: Arrow Blvd between Illex Ave and Cottonwood Ave
🔹 Detour: Illex Ave → Cherry Ave → Foothill Blvd → Etiwanda Ave → Whittram Ave
🔹 Access: Local pedestrians and affected residents and businesses will have access to their driveways.
🔹 Emergency Services: Emergency vehicles and through traffic will be directed to use the designated detour.

Motorists are encouraged to follow posted detour signs, allow additional travel time, and use caution near the work zone.

This closure is part of a multi-phase project along Arrow Boulevard. Additional notices will be provided as construction progresses into future phases.

Rolling Road Closures – Fawnskin Area

San Bernardino County Public Works is notifying residents and visitors of temporary rolling road closures associated with the Annual Fawnskin DooDah Parade.

📅 Saturday, August 15, 2026
🕘 9:00 AM – 12:30 PM

The parade will travel along portions of Mohawk Drive, Navajo Drive, Brookside Lane, and Garden Place in the Fawnskin area. Rolling closures will be implemented along the parade route, with roadways reopening as the parade passes.

🚔 Traffic control will be coordinated by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) with assistance from Citizens on Patrol.

🏡 Residents, businesses, and emergency services will have access at all times.

Motorists traveling through the area should expect temporary delays, follow directions from traffic control personnel, and allow additional travel time.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation in helping provide a safe event for participants and the Fawnskin community.

🚴Rolling Road Closures – Big Bear Area

San Bernardino County Public Works is notifying residents and visitors of temporary rolling road closures associated with the Big Bear Cycling Association's annual cycling event.

📅 Saturday, August 1, 2026
🕔 5:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Rolling road closures will occur along portions of Baldwin Lake Road, East Big Bear Boulevard, Greenspot Road, East and West Country Club Boulevard, Big Tree Boulevard, Stanfield Cutoff, Valley Boulevard, West Aeroplane Boulevard, and Jenks Lake Road West. Roads will reopen as cyclists pass to help minimize traffic impacts.

🚔 California Highway Patrol and the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department will provide intermittent traffic control and coordinate with event personnel throughout the route.

🏡 Resident access and emergency services will be maintained at all times.

Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead, expect brief delays, follow directions from traffic control personnel, and allow additional travel time while traveling through the area.

A scheduled power outage will affect two County traffic signals in the Baker area from 6:30 p.m. Friday, July 31, through 7 a.m. Saturday, August 1.

Affected intersections:
• Mojave Point and Baker Boulevard
• Caltrans Road and Baker Boulevard

Motorists should approach the intersections carefully, reduce their speed and follow all posted traffic-control instructions.
