One decision can change everything.

A seat belt may seem small, but in a crash, it can mean the difference between life and death. Too many lives are lost every year because someone chose not to buckle up.

Buckle up. Every seat. Every trip. Every time.

📢 TRAFFIC BREAKS – WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

When you see a California Highway Patrol vehicle driving back and forth across lanes with emergency lights activated, it means officers are performing a traffic break.

Traffic breaks are used to slow or stop traffic so officers can safely remove debris, assist at a crash, or handle another roadway hazard.

⚠️ Remember: California law requires drivers to stay at least 300 feet behind any emergency vehicle with its emergency lights activated. This gives officers the space needed to clear the highway and keep everyone safe.

California Vehicle Code § 21706 – “No driver shall follow any authorized emergency vehicle displaying a red light closer than 300 feet.”

Let’s work together to keep our highways safe. When you see the red and blue lights, slow down and give us room to work. 🚔
