Yesterday Chino firefighters saved the day! A field trip bus returning from Chino Valley preserve had mechanical difficulties and students got out of the bus while they were waiting for another bus. Firefighters saw from across the street and they blocked the street, walked them across and let them hang out in their fire station for an hour and a half. The students even got to see them leave to make a fire call. It was like a second field trip!

Today was another wonderful and successful College and Career Day at Anton!!! Thank you to the numerous presenters and guests that we had! It was beautiful to see so many family members involved to support our scholars! The community stepped up and our staff outdid themselves! Gator Nation best nation! Our scholars know that the sky is the limit to their future dreams! 👊🐊👏🥰😊🎤🌎📚

As part of the California community schools partnership, one of our priorities is a focus on physical health. Today parents, staff and students got their heart rate up with a healthy Zumba class!

Today our gators dressed up like 100 year olds to celebrate the 100th day of school!

Congratulations to the 33 kindergarten students who mastered their letter sounds by October 15th and maintained mastery when tested again this month! They had a pizza and dance party to celebrate their success. Letter sounds are a critical early reading skill that sets up the foundation for reading. There are many other students who were very close to mastery. Students will be retested again in January and will have the opportunity to celebrate their success with a popsicle party so please continue to reinforce this skill at home!

Our custodian Mr. Spencer had a blast as a chaperone to Greenspot Farm with first graders today! Our students were very excited that he joined them!
