Meet Christina Cintron, Chief of Member Services at SBCERA.

Christina’s journey has always been rooted in service, family, and determination. Leading SBCERA’s largest department, she’s built a career centered around helping others and making a meaningful impact in the lives of members every single day.

After joining SBCERA in 2014 as a Senior Accountant, Christina quickly recognized the importance of the work behind every pension payment and every member interaction. “I wasn’t going to let anybody down. And I especially wasn’t going to let the members down who were relying on this monthly benefit payment.”

Now, as Chief of Member Services, Christina leads a team that supports members through every stage of their careers—from the first day of employment through retirement and beyond. Whether answering questions, helping members navigate retirement, or providing trusted support during important life moments, Christina and her team are committed to delivering exceptional service with care and compassion.

"I feel like this journey I’ve been on my whole life is to serve the people that serve the communities that we live in,” she said.
