Outstanding work team, and thank you for answering the call of duty!

In the midst of chaos, confusion, and uncertainty, you all maintained resiliency to effectively accomplish all tasks that were assigned to you. You are the very best and remember where you came from. You came from a battalion that is the most decorated Infantry battalion within the 79th IBCT. As you already know, our battalion was the face of the 40th Infantry Division during these past months. You all maintained highly professional and remarkably represented HHC. We made history together!

Your Soldiers did just that this past drill weekend to increase their combat readiness by completing weapons qualification courses, sniper precision fire, unknown distance fire, air MEDEVAC training, motor fire, call for fire training, and more. Outstanding work!

CPT Trimmer led the way by facilitating and training soldiers on Army sling load operations to increase readiness.

Army sling load operations involve using helicopters to transport heavy cargo or equipment by attaching it an aircraft's external cargo hook. This technique is crucial for delivering supplies to remote or inaccessible areas, especially in combat zones where ground transport is difficult. It also plays a vital role in disaster relief efforts and other humanitarian missions.

HHC had the opportunity to meet with the 79th Infantry brigade combat team, COL Bangloy and CSM Aller, to discuss the future of the 1-185th IN. They also enhanced their basic individual Soldier skills, medical readiness, administrative excellence, participated in an enlistment promotion board, conducted Air Assault tryouts, the land navigation course, and drivers training. HHC also received a new Soldier who just returned from basic training! Keep up the great work Vikings!

This drill weekend, HHC 1-185th IN completed a Change of Responsibility from SFC Zavala to 1SG Aguilar, and a Change of Command from CPT Orozco to CPT Trimmer, welcoming the new command team. We wish CPT Orozco well in his next assignment!

Soldiers in HHC also successfully conducted air operations, land navigation, and various training opportunities to increase their individual readiness. Great job this weekend!

Every day, regardless of weather, Battle Group Poland ceremoniously raises the United States flag and assists with flags of our allies at Bemowo Piskie Training Area, Poland. Even before the sun arises, HHC troops rotate duties with other companies to raise the flag at the sound of Reveille. At nighttime the flags are lowered and removed to the music of Retreat. Even though we're thousands of miles from home, we still honor this tradition in respect for those who have gone before us, and why we continue our sacrifices. 🥰
