From delivering essential goods to keeping our communities supplied, truck drivers play a vital role in our daily lives.

🚨 ROAD CLOSURE | I-215 CLOSURE

I-215 in both directions between I-10 and SR-60 is closed. The freeway is expected to remain closed until
07:00 a.m., Sunday, September 13.

The closure is needed so crews can safely paint the BNSF Railway bridge spanning I-215.

🚧 Ramps and freeway connectors will also be affected:
• NB I-215 on ramps at E. La Cadena Drive and S. Iowa Avenue
• SB I-215 on ramps at S. Mount Vernon Avenue and Barton Road
• Freeway to freeway connectors at I-10 and SR-60

Drivers will be directed around the closure using signed detour routes, local streets, and alternate freeway connections.

⚠️ Expect delays and allow extra travel time. If you are traveling through the area, check Caltrans QuickMap or 511 before you leave and consider an alternate route.

Plan ahead. Slow down. Stay alert. Drive safely.

Motorists traveling through San Bernardino should plan ahead for an overnight closure of I-215 in both directions between I-10 and SR-60.

📅 Saturday, September 12 through Sunday, September 13
⏰ 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Whether you're driving, walking, or riding near railroad tracks, remember: trains always have the right of way.

• Obey railroad crossing signals and gates.
• Never stop on the tracks.
• Stay off railroad tracks and never use them as a shortcut.
• Look and listen for trains, even when a crossing appears clear.

A train can't stop quickly, but you can make the safe choice. 🚦🚶
