Deputy Gregory Alan Gariepy was killed in the line of duty on June 22, 2005. Greg was responding to assist another deputy when he was involved in a single-vehicle traffic collision, and he later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

Greg served our country as a United States Marine before pursuing a career with the Department in 2002. He is survived by his wife, son, and two daughters.

On February 29, 2008, a six-mile stretch of Highway 247 was dedicated as the Greg A. Gariepy Memorial Highway.

Please take a moment today to remember Deputy Greg Gariepy, who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Our newest female academy graduates from Class 243 had the opportunity to spend time with some of the outstanding women currently serving within our department, including Deputy Chief Krusbe, Captain Addy, Lt. Klaus, and Detective Rosa.
These leaders have dedicated their careers to serving others, breaking barriers, and paving the way for future generations of women in law enforcement.
Congratulations to these graduates and to the women who continue to inspire the next generation of law enforcement professionals.
