Juneteenth is a celebration of freedom, resilience and the promise of progress.

A commemoration of the day freedom finally reached the last enslaved Black Americans in 1865, Juneteenth continues to serve as a reminder that freedom is not just a moment in history, but a responsibility to build communities where everyone has an opportunity to thrive.

The Juneteenth flag reflects that spirit:
    • Red, white and blue symbolize that Black history is American history.
    • The star and burst represent freedom and a new beginning.
    • The arc signifies hope and a brighter future ahead. 

Today, we celebrate the enduring contributions of Black Americans and reflect on the values of freedom, opportunity and community. 

At Logan Heights CDC, we remain committed to creating pathways to opportunity through education, economic empowerment and community development.

Our office will be closed on June 19 in observance of Juneteenth.

This past Friday, we wrapped up an incredible day on the course!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our seventh annual Charity Golf Classic at Singing Hills Golf Club. Thanks to you, we raised over $75,000. Your generosity to our community helps support programs that empower individuals, families and businesses throughout the Greater Logan Heights area.
