Congratulations!!!! Yesterday morning, USS MOBILE had the pleasure of gaining two new Chief Petty Officers to the Mess. FCC Quintana and OSC Messer were surrounded by family, friends, and shipmates during the ceremony. Each new Chief Petty Officer was pinned by their family. This is a huge accomplishment and milestone in their career and we look forward to the guidance and wisdom they will continue to provide USS MOBILE and the Navy! 🦞 ⚓️

Today, USS MOBILE came together to honor and remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001. We reflected on the courage of the first responders, the resilience of survivors, and the strength of a nation united in the face of tragedy.

This is not a day of remembrance just for USS MOBILE, the Navy, or Service members. This is a day of remembrance for the United States and her citizens. In the face of adversary, the country came together on a united front to show the world that we will not fall and we will not break.

We will always remember, we will never forget. 🇺🇸

Hooyah! Please join us in congratulating USS MOBILE’s newest O-4! LCDR Jonathan Vargas is currrently the Combat Systems Officer onboard. He will fleet up and become the Operations Officer shortly. He was pinned by his daughters and surrounded by family and friends this morning during his promotion ceremony! Thank you for everything you have done, and will continue to do, for USS MOBILE!
