¡Bienvenidos! Welcome to Old Town San Diego State Historic Park! We are celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with public programs that encourage visitors to learn about the original Mexican adobes protected within our park. Dates, times, and details for all programs can be found on the park's website under "News and Events". Link in the bio.

🚶‍♀️Walking tours leave at 10:30 a.m., 12 p.m., 2 p.m., and 3:30 p.m. from the Robinson Rose Visitor Information Center! $10 for 13+ and $5 for youth 12 and under. Explore early San Diego with an expert park interpreter and get the inside scoop on the history of Old Town San Diego!

📖 Hidden History talks have moved to the Seeley!! Stop by the Seeley Stable theater at 3 p.m. to enjoy a 15-minute talk from one our park interpreters. Visit the park website to see all program times under the news and events section! This month's subject: California Women.

🐦 The theme of September’s Little Ranger program is "Bilingual Storytime Fiesta". Enjoy a storytime, sing fun songs, and make hands-on art to take home! Earn your Little Ranger stickers at the Mason Street Schoolhouse most Saturdays at 10:30 a.m.!

🌳The theme of September’s Junior Ranger program is "Life in the Pueblo"! Discover the cultural influences that shaped life in the pueblo of 1830’s San Diego! Sign up for free in the Robinson Rose Visitor Information Center. Program runs from 12 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. on Saturdays.

Join us in celebrating California’s cultural heritage as we get ready for Fiestas Patrias at Old Town San Diego State Historic Park! On Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m., we will celebrate Mexico’s fight for independence with a day full of live entertainment and family fun.

As part of our community celebration, visitors can explore Old Town San Diego SHP and participate free traditional hands-on activities! This year's free hands-on activities include cascarones, corn husk dolls, and vaquero games in the plaza.

4th of July is happening at Old Town San Diego State Historic Park! Come visit us tomorrow from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. for a fun -filled Old- Fashioned 4th of July Celebration.

Kick off starts at 11 a.m. sharp with our annual flag raising ceremony, involving local troops from San Diego - Imperial Council of Scouting America.

Come early to grab a seat and to enjoy the performances from our live entertainment, Westwind Brass. Sit back, relax and have fun as they fill the plaza with music, joy, and national pride.

Don't miss out on celebrating Americas 250 and California's 175 with the community of San Diego. Come make a new memory with California State Parks this 4th of July!

Are you ready for some good old-fashioned American fun? Next week Old Town San Diego State Historic Park is celebrating America’s 250 and California’s 175 with an Old-Fashioned 4th of July Celebration!!

Join California State Parks volunteers and community partners from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. to make traditional hands-on art in the plaza. For $5, family members of all ages can get a blue wristband to sign up for a clay smithing lesson, take home a pioneer doll, and make a Morse code bracelet to keep as a memory of their visit to Old Town San Diego SHP.
