🚧LAST U.S. EXIT TO CLOSE🚧
The last U.S. exit - Camino de la Plaza - on 5 south will close the night of Sept 8 for electrical work.
🚗Travelers will need to use the Via De San Ysidro Blvd exit to avoid entering Mexico.

There is no exit once past Camino de la Plaza. Motorists who do not exit in time will be directed across the border into Mexico. Please plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and use alternate routes when possible.

🚧Lane Closure🚧
The oleanders along I-5 are in need of trimming. Crews will close the #1 lane of 5 south just north of SR-78 to SR-76.
👷Crews will start north and work south.
👷‍♀️Please move over a lane and slow down when passing the work zone.

Caltrans crews cleared this abandoned encampment along I-8 in San Diego near Rosecrans Bl and Sherman St. A hole cut in the fence was used by people to access this site. Crews repaired the fence and removed two cubic yards of debris.

Breakdowns and accidents aren’t always avoidable. But you can avoid leaving behind small and large debris. Please have either you or your tow truck take it with. Caltrans crews recently cleaned up this bulk mess on CA-94 near San Diego’s 16th Street. 💙🚮

🚧Culvert Replacement🚧
With winter storms approaching, Caltrans will be replacing drainage culverts along SR-67.
SR-67 will be one lane in each direction from Vigilante Rd to about a mile north of Slaughterhouse Canyon Rd for this work.
🗓️Sept 2 at 5AM to Sept 11 at 5PM
Plan ahead and expect delays.

All lanes of 5 north and five outside lanes (Nos. 3, 4, 5, 6, 7) of 805 north will close for striping of the newly paved lanes. I-5 Local Bypass Lane will remain open for I-5 north travel.

🗓️August 31, 9PM - 5AM.

The I-5 Asset Management Project will ensure that the southern a segment of I-5 remains in a state of good repair while improving ride quality, and reducing maintenance needs in the cities of San Diego, Chula Vista, and National City from Camino De La Plaza to 0.3 miles south of Via De La Valle.

This important effort is focused on preserving existing infrastructure, improving safety, and modernizing the corridor to meet current and future transportation needs.
