A sea turtle! This one was in the main slough (south of W. Pt. Loma) cruising around. Only visible when it took a quick breath every few minutes. After our monthly bird walk some other visitors let us know it was swimming around. Gorgeous but a test of patience as it appears for just a few seconds at a time.

Join us for two upcoming events. Saturday April 25th is the annual Creek to Bay Cleanup from 9-12. Register now! And if you are free on the morning of Friday, April 24th join in a San Diego Bird Alliance Habitat Restoration event. The estuary benefits so much from volunteers who remove non-native plants, trash, and improve the habitat for wildlife.
