From a reservist aviation electrician to a Major Program Manager who delivered combat-ready AI software to the fleet—CAPT Remil Capili’s 33-year Navy career mirrors the Navy’s own evolution.

His journey highlights shift from the heavy iron to the digital edge of modern warfare. During his service, the Navy sent him to earn five graduate degrees, tackle historic integration milestones and finally direct Project Overmatch.

Yet, according to CAPT Capili, his proudest moments center on people rather than networks or artificial intelligence. He’d rather talk about meeting his wife at the Naval Postgraduate School, mentoring junior officers, and watching sailors he led rise to command their own ships.

"My family and I are grateful for the travels, experiences, education, and most especially, the people that we crossed paths with over the years," he noted.

Thank you, CAPT Capili, for 33 years of dedicated service, leadership, and innovation! 🇺🇸⚓️

Every member of our workforce has a unique story, and Ashlee Landreth's journey to is one worth sharing.

Inspired by her family, encouraged by mentors and guided by a passion for engineering, Ashlee built a career that has taken her from a chance encounter with a recruiter to leading our Expeditionary Warfare Department. Along the way, she balanced the demands of leadership, military family life and raising four children while continuing to serve our mission.

Stories like Ashlee's remind us that behind every capability we deliver to the warfighter are people whose dedication, resilience and values shape our success.

Our team at has been mentoring engineering students at Charleston Southern University for months while they developed new technology for Charles Town Landing State Park! Last month they finished and installed their Health Observation and Weight Logger (HOWL) for the critically endangered Red Wolves enclosure at the park zoo.

This new "smart scale" allows the caretakers to gather weight and observational data while the wolf organically walks across the scale. This eliminates the need to subdue the animal in order to take weight and other measurements.

We are so proud of our team for supporting the next generation of engineers and contributing to a positive impact on our local Charleston, SC community!
