Last month, members of our programs team had the privilege of attending Rise Up Industries’ 10th Annual Big Night Out Gala.

We’re proud to help fund Rise Up’s advanced manufacturing training program, and seeing its impact up close was a highlight for our team. Their reentry work gives justice-impacted individuals career pathways, mentorship, and a real sense of belonging.

We’re honored to partner with an organization so dedicated to breaking cycles, creating inclusive opportunities, and building economic power across San Diego. Congratulations on 10 years! 🎉

Today, on Indigenous Peoples’ Day, we honor the histories, cultures and contributions of Indigenous communities, including the Kumeyaay, Luiseño (Payómkawichum), Cupeño (Kuupangaxwichem) and Cahuilla (Ivilyuqaletem) peoples, whose ancestral and present-day homelands make up the San Diego region.

At the San Diego Workforce Partnership, we’re committed to uplifting Indigenous voices and supporting equitable access to education, career pathways and economic opportunity.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Domestic violence can affect anyone, regardless of age, gender or background, and the signs of abuse are not always visible.

This month, we stand with survivors and recognize the importance of raising awareness, fostering safe and supportive communities and connecting individuals and families with the resources they need.

If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic violence, confidential support is available. We've included resource guides with information on local organizations, support services and assistance available throughout San Diego County.

National Domestic Violence Hotline: 1-800-799-SAFE (7233)
