NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center San Diego celebrated Lt. Jenna Bustria as she was promoted to lieutenant during a ceremony Sept. 2. Capt. Matt Miller, NAVSUP FLC San Diego executive officer, presided over the ceremony as Bustria’s family, friends and teammates joined her in marking this important career milestone.

Congratulations to our newest Logistics Support Representative Apprentices!

NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center San Diego celebrated the graduation of Sailors who completed LSR Apprentice qualification training on Aug. 28. The training prepares Navy Reserve Sailors with the knowledge and skills needed to provide critical logistics support to the fleet when mobilized.

Capt. Tanya Cormier, NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center San Diego commanding officer, visited the command's Household Goods/Joint Personal Property Shipping Office Southwest (JPPSO-SW), led by James Bode, and the Regional Transportation Office (RTO), led by David McFadden Caldwell, on Wednesday. Both teams of Navy civilians and contractors provide critical support to the warfighter across the West Coast, the nation, and around the world.

Bode provided Cormier with an overview of JPPSO-SW operations, while McFadden Caldwell highlighted the RTO's capabilities. Both leaders emphasized their teams' vital roles in supporting service members and their families as they move to and from the San Diego area.

Bravo Zulu to our JPPSO-SW and RTO teams! Your professionalism, dedication, and commitment to caring for our Navy families make a meaningful difference every day. Thank you for all you do to support our Sailors, strengthen our Navy community, and keep the fleet mission-ready. ⚓️🇺🇸

Today, Capt. Tanya Cormier, commanding officer of NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center San Diego, welcomed Midshipmen Caio Freitas and Castro Filho of the Marinha do Brasil (Brazilian Navy) for a visit focused on fellowship, professional exchange, and the shared bonds between our naval services.

During their visit, the midshipmen spoke with Capt. Cormier about their experiences in the United States and shared perspectives from their service and training in Brazil.

Lt. Fernanda Fonseca of the Marinha do Brasil, NAVSUP FLC San Diego assistant LSC officer, and Capt. Matt Miller, NAVSUP FLC San Diego executive officer, joined the conversation, exchanging experiences and discussing the values and traditions shared by our two navies.

Visits like these strengthen the relationships between partner nations, foster mutual understanding, and reinforce the respect and camaraderie that connect Sailors across borders. 🇺🇸🇧🇷

This week, NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center San Diego hosted the Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Lead Teams/Projects Development Cohort, bringing together emerging leaders for a week of on-site leadership training.

The 12-month program prepares GS-11 through GS-13 employees to effectively lead teams, projects, and initiatives by strengthening essential skills in influencing, accountability, decisiveness, and team building. Following this week's training at NAVSUP FLC San Diego, participants will continue their development through interactive activities throughout the year.

By investing in our people today, NAVSUP is developing confident leaders, strengthening high-performing teams, and building the workforce needed to deliver results for the Navy and the warfighter. 🇺🇸⚓️

Last week, Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Assistant Commander for Contracting, Ms. Lisa Sandy (SES), visited NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center San Diego and the C200 field contracting office to engage directly with leadership and staff. This visit focused on addressing daily friction points and ensuring our frontline contracting teams have the direct support and resources required to support the Warfighter. ⚓🇺🇸
