The Foundation's Annual Campaign ends MONDAY!! Have you donated yet? Donations made now impact what we are able to do for the rest of the 2026-2027 school year. Remember, your donation is tax deductible and will be used during THIS school year! 🙋FOUNDATION GENERAL MEETING
The next general foundation meeting of the school year is on Monday, September 21st at 6pm in the library. The Foundation is Sandburg’s only parent group, we do not have a PTA or PTO. We provide academic experiences and community building events for our Sandburg Tiger family.

The meetings are open to the public and typically last 30-45 minutes long. We encourage all families to attend. Kids are welcome to come, however there is no childcare, so we encourage you to bring a quiet activity to entertain your children. Hope to see you there!

📣 CAREER DAY
Sandburg is looking for volunteers for our next Career Day! On Monday, November 9, the 4th and 5th graders will have the opportunity to learn about different careers! We would love to have a variety of careers for the kids to learn about, so if you're interested in helping, please email [email protected].

Did you recently attend the Ice Cream Social or have candid school photos? For yearbook consideration, you may set up your account to upload photos directly to the software! Please include the student’s name(s) and/or grade(s) to assure that all students have been approved to be photographed. Photos will be accepted through March, 2027.

The 2026-2027 school year is off to a great start! It is crazy to think it is September on Tuesday and we have already finished 3 weeks of school! Please do not forget that we have an additional modified day on Friday, September 4th and all students will be dismissed at 12:05PM on Thursday and Friday.

Digital Wellness
The SDCOE Linda Vista Innovation Center (LVIC) is excited to invite families to participate in the Family Digital Wellness Series, designed to support families in building healthy, positive, and balanced relationships with technology. The series will cover a variety of important digital wellness topics and provide families with practical tools and strategies they can use at home. Computer2Kids is hosting an event on Saturday, August 29, at Cal Coast Credit Union on Imperial Avenue. Families will have the opportunity to purchase refurbished, low-cost computers and learn more about available technology resources. Running/Walking Club
Mark your calendars! The first day of our Running/Walking Club will be tomorrow, Monday, August 31st. Students can enter through the 1st grade gate at 7:20am and head to the field to run or walk laps. Parents are welcome to join the students, but must be participating in run club by running, walking or volunteering.
