🔒 OPSEC & PERSEC REMINDER — PROTECT OUR SAILORS ⚓️

Lincoln Families, as we continue moving closer to the day we have all been waiting for, OPSEC and PERSEC remain extremely important. Our Sailors’ safety must always come first.

Please DO NOT post, share, forward, screenshot, or discuss publicly information regarding:

• Potential or confirmed port calls
• Homecoming dates, times, locations, or countdowns
• Ship movements or future operations
• Communication status, River City, or Wi-Fi availability
• Rumors or speculation about the ship’s schedule or location
• Personal information about Sailors or their families
• Information provided through the Lincoln Ombudsman email distribution list

📧 Information sent through the Ombudsman distro is intended for the recipients of that email. Please do not forward, screenshot, copy, or repost information from those emails unless specifically stated that it is approved for public release.

Even when information comes directly from your Sailor, that does not automatically mean it is safe to share on social media, in public Facebook groups, group chats, or other online spaces.

We understand how exciting it is to hear about a possible port call or to finally begin thinking about homecoming. But no post, countdown, screenshot, or rumor is worth compromising the safety of our Sailors.

⚓️ OPSEC is a team effort. Every family member plays a role in protecting the ship, the crew, and their mission.

We have waited a long time for our Sailors. Let’s do our part to keep them safe so they can make it HOME. ❤️🇺🇸

If you see a potential OPSEC or PERSEC violation, please notify the Lincoln Ombudsman Team rather than engaging with or sharing the post.

Protect our Sailors. Bring them home safely. ⚓️❤️

📣 HOMECOMING INFORMATION UPDATE – USS ABRAHAM LINCOLN FAMILIES

We know that homecoming is on everyone’s minds, and families are understandably eager to begin making plans. ❤️⚓️

At this time, the Ombudsman Team does not have any command-approved information regarding homecoming, including:

• Homecoming date or timeline
• Pier access
• Base access
• Guest requirements
• Passes or other access procedures

⚓ Your Sailor will remain your primary source of information regarding homecoming. Sailors will receive applicable details directly through the command as plans are finalized. We encourage families to remain in communication with their Sailor and follow the guidance they receive.

📧 IMPORTANT – OMBUDSMAN EMAIL DISTRIBUTION LIST

The Ombudsman email distribution list will be the ONLY communication method used by the Ombudsman Team to distribute command-approved information regarding homecoming. Homecoming details will not be released by the Ombudsman Team through Facebook or other social media platforms.

Please speak with your Sailor about ensuring you are added to the Ombudsman email distribution list. Your Sailor must submit the required information to have you added. Being a member of a Facebook group does not automatically place you on our official email distribution list.

The Ombudsman Team can only distribute information that has been officially approved for release and provided to us by the command. Once we receive authorized homecoming information, it will be sent directly to families on our approved email distribution list.

We understand how exciting homecoming is and how important it is for families to have enough time to make travel, childcare, work, and other arrangements. We truly appreciate your patience and understanding while we wait for official information.

Until then, please be cautious of rumors, unofficial dates, or information circulating through social media. If it has not been officially released, plans may still change.

❤️🤍💙 Please check with your Sailor now to make sure you are on the Ombudsman email distribution list so you don’t miss important command-approved homecoming information.
