San Fernando Valley California The San Fernando Valley is a geographical region that extends north and westward from the Los Angeles Basin.

The valley includes about half of the city of Los Angeles and the cities of Woodland Hills, Calabasas, Van Nuys, Glendale, Hidden Hills, Burbank, and others. The area has many open space parks, cultural centers, and is connected to downtown LA by the Red and Orange Metro Lines.
