Our summer concerts have been 🔥! We’re keeping the momentum going with our last concert of the season, and it’s a special one because we’ll be celebrating the City’s 115th Birthday! This Saturday, Aug. 29, 6–9 p.m., catch the Afro-Latin jazz sounds of Dominguero, mariachi and folklorico performances, food trucks, community vendors, crafts for kids and, of course, lots of dancing!

¡Nuestros conciertos de verano han estado increíbles! 🔥 Mantenemos el ritmo con el último concierto de la temporada, ¡y será una ocasión especial porque celebraremos el 115.º aniversario de la ciudad! Este sábado 29 de agosto, 6–9 p.m., disfruta de los ritmos de jazz afrolatino de Dominguero, presentaciones de mariachi y folklorico, camiones de comida, manualidades para niños y, por supuesto, ¡mucho baile!

Come blow out the candles with us at the City of San Fernando’s 115th Birthday! We’re celebrating the epic milestone with a special night of cultural performances by our City’s vibrant folklorico and mariachi groups, live music by Dominguero, dancing, food trucks, and kids activities.

🏞️ Cooling Centers at Las Palmas Park (505 S. Huntington St) AND Recreation Park (208 Park Ave)
🕘 Open from 9 am to 7 pm;
🗓️ Today (8/18) through Wednesday, August 26th, and any day the temperature reaches 95 degrees or higher

Here are some tips to beat the heatwave:
🚰 Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water or juice.
❌ Avoid alcohol and caffeine, as they can contribute to dehydration.
💦 Cool down by wiping your skin with cool water whenever needed.
👕 Dress in lightweight and light-colored clothing to stay comfortable.
🕐 Seek shade and stay indoors during the hottest time of the day (11 am - 4 pm).
🌬️ Find relief in air-conditioned locations if possible.
👵 Check on older, sick, or frail individuals who may need assistance coping with the heat.
🚗 Never leave children or pets unattended in closed vehicles, even for short periods.
