Condoleezza Rice was was the first African-American woman to serve as Secretary of State in 2004 and was nominated by a repbulican president. She was also a Stanford University Professor, served as an advisor to the Joint Chiefs of Staff, was appointed director of Soviet and East European Affairs on the National Security Council and was National Security Advisor. Just another example of our long history of systemic racism.

Ludmya "Mia" Love is awesome! She served as the U.S. representative for Utah's 4th congressional district from 2015 to 2019. A Haitian American, she was the first black person elected to Congress from Utah and the first black woman elected as a Republican....and now you know!
