Greenaction for Health and Environmental Justice Greenaction fights for health and environmental justice together with marginalized urban, rural, and Indigenous communities.

We fight for health and environmental justice by:
• HOLDING corporate polluters and governments ACCOUNTABLE on issues of health and environmental justice
• EMPOWERING COMMUNITIES with organizing, action, media assistance, technical and strategic expertise, and skills building programs for both youth and adults so they gain the knowledge to win victories
• TAKING nonviolent direct ACTION against polluters
• WORKING for pollution prevention, healthy jobs and safe technologies

Almost 150 Central Valley community members came together last Friday at the Hanford Town Hall meeting to say NO AI DATA CENTERS! The Central Valley is ALREADY overburdened by air pollution, high energy bills, extreme heat, and water scarcity. AI data centers proposed in Lemoore and Hanford would include hundreds of gas generators (increasing air pollution), require access to water for cooling, and put a strain on local power grids (potentially increasing energy costs for residents)!! 🚫

Thank you to the whistleblowers and the community organizers for this victory, but the fight is far from over.

The settlement from the fraud has closed but the impact is still felt throughout the community. The former Naval Shipyard is STILL contaminated with toxic and radioactive waste, decades later.

Help us continue the fight for a complete cleanup of the Hunters Point Naval Shipyard and Health Repair for the community! Support Greenaction and the Marie Harrison Community Foundation as we demand environmental and health justice!

AVENAL DESERVES CLEAN AIR❗Friday, August 14th, Air Quality Index score of 202 (AQI) in Avenal, this is considered very unhealthy for everybody and is especially dangerous for sensitive populations, including young children.

Demand Clean Air for Avenal in California's Central Valley, now! Support Greenaction in demanding action from the Air District to stop allowing the Avenal landfill to poison the air residents breathe!

The Avenal Regional Landfill brings massive amounts of waste through the community, dumping it in their backyard and stirring up so much dust and dangerous particulate matter (PM)!
