We're expecting a full house! Doors open at 5:30pm, and the forum begins at 6:00pm. Advance registration is required, but does not guarantee entry. Once the building is full, you won't be allowed in, even if you registered. If you plan to bring friends, make sure they register.

Meet the Ballot Simplification Council (BSC)! 🗳️📖

Starting today, this nonpartisan body is officially getting to work for the upcoming November election!

The BSC’s mission is simple: make sure local voters have fair, impartial, and plain-language summaries of every local measure on the ballot.

Want to watch the Council in action? All BSC meetings are open to the public and are held in person at City Hall.

The case over Mayor Daniel Lurie's withheld public records about his calls with Donald Trump is now stuck — not because of a court ruling or a legal challenge, but because City Hall never reappointed most of the members of the Sunshine Ordinance Task Force.
The Ethics Commission sent the case back to the task force Friday. But with nine of its 11 seats sitting vacant, the city's transparency watchdog can't meet, vote or act.

❌ Do not use a blue USPS mailbox today. Changes in mail processing mean your ballot might not be counted. Instead, use an official drop box, bring it to any polling place or the City Hall Voting Center, or walk into a post office and ask for a same-day postmark.

🫨 Haven't registered yet? You can still register and vote today. Visit a polling place or the City Hall Voting Center to register conditionally and vote provisionally. That's a fancy way of saying the SF Department of Elections will verify your eligibility before counting your ballot.
