Community Safety Initiative

Community Safety Initiative This page is about the Community Safety Initiative sponsored by Mo'Magic, the SF Police Commission, SF Police Department, and San Francisco Mayor’s Office.

The Community Safety Internship (CSI) is a paid summer program that creates opportunity for Transitional Age youth (18-24) in San Francisco to be Intern Leads and San Francisco high school students as well as incoming college freshman to intern, learn and become prepared to pursue various careers. The program is a collaborative consisting of the Magic Zone, the San Francisco Police Commission, the

San Francisco Police Department, the San Francisco Mayor’s office, the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission, and the San Francisco City and County Board of Supervisors. This summer we are launching a targeted pre-apprenticeship and internship enhancement program in response to young people experiencing persistent and disproportionate contact with violence. This summer we will support a critical group of youth leaders with cradle to cadet career pathways and strategies focused on community safety.
