Are you in school, working, or somewhere in between? Here are a few of our programs that can help you financially:

🍎 CalFresh: get benefits to buy food. It’s not a loan, you don’t have to pay it back, and it won’t affect financial aid, student loans or credit scores.

⚕️Medi-Cal: offers free or low-cost health care and dental coverage to eligible individuals and families.

💰👪 CalWORKs: provides temporary financial assistance and services to eligible families with (or expecting) children.

We're looking for community members to join San Francisco's newly created Food Security Council to advise the Mayor’s Office and City departments on food security strategy, policy, and program implementation.

We encourage community-based organizations, including direct service providers, community coalitions, and faith-based organizations, alongside interested community members to apply to serve on the Council by completing this form by September 1: https://airtable.com/appVibxofG7IBaujN/pagQpLWFBnj2D9e65/form

The Council will help the City navigate the evolving food security landscape to advance our goals of ensuring that all San Franciscans have equitable access to affordable, nutritious food that meets their needs.

What does it mean to be a truly welcoming and accessible city? We sat down with Eli to hear his thoughts and get a peek at what his team has been up to.

[video description: series of video clips of scenes in San Francisco. It starts with a clip of a a group of people from the Disability community walking in front of City Hall. Followed by a series of black and white pictures from the 504 SF Sit-Ins. Then, a close up of Eli, a man wearing black blazer, speaking at the camera. Video cuts to footage of Eli and Debby crossing the street. Debby is using a motorized wheelchair. Then we see two indoor photos of a group of smiling individuals. We see Eli again then back to three photos of smiling people at a conference setting and outside near the port. A short clip of a web page with accessibility guidelines is shown, then photos of architectural designs for accessibility improvements, and lastly a clip of City Hall and a group of people at a forum indoors.]
