Do you work for a nonprofit in San Francisco and want to help San Franciscans keep their CalFresh in the wake of new federal work requirements?
We're issuing a “Request for Information” to identify nonprofits in San Francisco who may be interested in serving as “CalFresh Community Works Program Host Sites”.
Host sites would offer volunteer service hours that fulfill new federal work requirements, while enabling CalFresh participants to contribute to the San Francisco community and develop job skills.
We are interested in learning about current volunteer opportunities at your agencies or even ones you might think about creating for this purpose, e.g. people who could help greet and direct patients, prepare educational packets, help with mailings or information packets, organize materials, support outreach efforts, etc.
We encourage you to complete this Request for Information by July 1st. Learn more by visiting: https://bit.ly/4v8ir8d
Let’s meet this moment together.

It also invites them to an info session on Monday, June 15 at 2 PM. Below is an image of people walking near the San Francisco Ferry Building.]
